Passion Never Dies :)

Assalamualaikum peeps :D
Its been two long months since I last updated this blog hha. Been extra busy dealing with TOEFL n SAT. Thank God its in the past now hehe. Since Madam Aliah has given us the freedom to write. So no more vocab Log muahaha. From now on, Im free to write what I want :D.

This time I'm gonna write about one my favourite sports, Football :D.
I started to know about football quite late compared to other boys of my age. Since my dad was a busy man back then, I was never truly exposed to football until the age of 13*Yeah masuk MRSM*

I remembered asking dad to buy me a pair of football boots when I was in standard 6 but in the end I didn't even played cuz
  1. By the age of 12*Standard 6* most of my friends already quite skillful*shy to play with them
  2. I was a noob *kaki bangku AHAHAHA XD
So in the end it didn't workout in my primary school.
Things changed tho when I registered in MRSM Pasir Salak hehe. I started to immerse myself in the world of football by playing in the evening. But yeah, a noob is still a noob and most of the time I have to play CB/Centre Back*Defensive Position.
My first pair of boots Adidas Questra*x main pun hha*

Again, I stopped playing football. It was in 2011 if I'm not mistaken. Somehow, there's a time where bad luck like latched onto myself and I started scoring own-goals alot T.T. That made me fed up*LOL* and I stopped playing for a whole year of 2011. In that time, I took up Badminton as my best friends Alif, Irfan and Azhar a.k.a A'a are also playing badminton back then.

If I remembered correctly, it was at the end of 2011 that I really fell in love*acah* with Football :).
I remembered many of my batch-mates suddenly changed their football boots*beramai-ramai and it made me worked up to also change mine*Dah la jarang main kann*. Luckily, the Questra doesnt fit with my foot anymore*muahaha and I bought myself a new pair of boots during the Year End Holiday.

Dad said new boots <RM200*most boots cost around 140-200*for the norm grade*Theres a better grade but costs alot more. My mind back then was the Nike T90 LaserIV. It was the boot that was wore by my football Idol Wayne Rooney*mind you Im a Manchester United fan xD. The thing was back then, the design was quite new and most of it costs more than 200 T.T...

Went to survey many*literally* boutieqes and was about to give up until we went to a Nike shop where the boot was available for RM199 :D. Without further a due, dad bought it and I returned home a happy man haha.

With new boots, comes new life*acah

Somehow the new boots gave me motivation to never stop playing*started to play again early 2012* Everyday I would play till I feel really exhausted*eventho still a noob*cuz baru nak start main seriously kann. Eventually, from Centre Back*Defender, I managed to play DM/Defensive Midfield but my fav position would eventually be RW/Right Wing or RWB/Right Wing Back*a more defensive version of RW.

Both the RW and RWB allows the player to run freely at the right side of the field which is why it was my fav position :D. The player would dribble the ball and will attempt to outrun opposing Defenders and set the ball for the Strikers to score*Crossing.

Nike T90 Laser IV
But yeah, Allah decide whats best for you, On August/September 2012*Couldnt remember lah.
I was hit with an injury which would apparently, end my footballing days. My knee twisted badly and it was the end for me and football... I cried when the Doc announced it*funny right, a guy crying*. He said I would never be able to play any outdoor sports anymore, My knee wouldnt be able to handle it.

Like I stated above, Allah knows whats best :). Eventually, by stopping football, I managed to focus for my chess*n became a national player in 2013 n 2014 representing Melaka xD. Also, I learnt n played other sports such as BoTam*Volleyball and BasketBall which Im sure I would not be playing if I had not injured my knee.

In every bad, somehow to overcome it. We need to find the good underlying it. I never regretted playing football. What I regret was that I never had the chance to truly become a great football player hha. Yeah eventho I can never truly play football again, it doesnt mean I have to stop loving it right? My passion for football peeps, will certainly will never die :).

It was revealed that Alexandru is one of the most powerful vampires in the world, the Third Vampire. Jamie then started all his training with one thing in his mind, to save the only family he had left, his mother.

Things got quite complicated as he met Larissa, a young girl vampire who is under Alexandru before.
She tells him she really repented on what she had done and is now helping the department in hunting down vampires. All hell break-loose when an island named Lindisfarne is attacked by vampires lead by Alexandru. All humans were either killed or transformed into a vampire. A Russian counterpart of Department 19 was also attacked and brutally murdered by the 2nd Vampire, Valentin Rusmanov.

RESPONSE
Like I wrote before, this is a great example of don't judge a book by its cover hehe. At first I thought it was just a somekind of military novel. I didn't want to read it at first but my friend insisted and in the end I was more excited about this series than my friend haha. It is really a great book as it was my first reading about a militsry-fantasy-teen kind of novel. The writer intelligently mixed normal teenagers problems into the story-line which is quite interesting, considering the serious situation of life and death throughout the book. Overall, the story is great and the final twist*where Frankenstein was killed* added spice into it haha. I rate this material 8.9/10.

Movie of The Week*Mr Peabody and Sherman

So hi guys, this is only the 2nd time I'm writing a Movie review, so any suggestions would highly be appreciated :D. So, here goes....

MR PEABODY AND SHERMAN

The movie is about a Mr Peabody, genius dog*yeah, Literally*, who adopts a baby boy named Sherman and raised him as his own son until he is 7 years-old. Mr Peabody is so smart that he
built the world's first ever time machine which he named it, The Way-Bac. His son, Sherman, is
also quite smart but have problems with a girl named Penny*A bully* at school. Penny kept teasing
Sherman by calling him a dog, which made Sherman mad and bites her hand. Later, it became an issue whether a dog*Mr Peabody* could really and properly raise a human child*Sherman*.

Mr Peabody then arranges a meeting with Penny's parents to make up with them but all Hell break-loose when Sherman reveals the Way-Bac*supposed to be a secret* to Penny as to prove a point.
Penny got stranded in Ancient-Egypt and Sherman with the help of Mr Peabody went to find her.
This is where their real adventure started as they went on to meet famous people such as Leonardo DaVinci, Napoleon and King Tut.

In an accident, Sherman ended up returning to a timeline where he was there, which is actually a forbidden thing to do as it would unbalance the universe, and a portal appeared where it started to send historical figures into the present. Unable to stop it, The Way-Bac drop on the ground and got quickly surrounded by cops and Animal Control is called, by the Evil women who hates Mr Peabody and doesn't want to give him custody of Sherman.

Sherman appeared and explained that everything was his fault. He was the one who misbehaved, as Mr Peabody was actually a really good father. The Evil women still do not want to give up but suddenly Sherman admitted that he is a dog too*In a sense as to support of Mr Peabody's custody of him*. Everyone there agree but still the Evil women doesn't want to give up until George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Bill Clinton granted an official pardon for Mr Peabody.

Sherman suddenly got an idea on how to fix things, and by using the Way-Bac, managed to reverse engineered the portal and it started to suck everything that doesn't belong. The Evil Women also got sucked up as she was hug bu King Agamemnon during the process. In the end, Sherman*now best friends with Penny* is living happily with Mr Peabody and finally calls him 'Dad'.

It is a really great Original idea*Altho characters were of a classic 1960's*by Rob Minkoff, who is famous for co-directing The Lion King. This movie really amazed me with its main moral, To truly and wholly accept who you really are and be happy with what we have. Sherman at first, who can't accept being called a dog because who his father is, finally embraced Mr Peabody as who he really is. I also learned that one way to destroy an enemy is to make him/her, your friend hehe but that would be a really hard thing to do haha. I also liked how they inserted famous figures into the movie and blended them into the story-line with a bit of comedy. This is a really ohsemm movie for a cartoon. I rate it 9.5/10.

Novel Of The Week*HOO : The Son of Neptune

I'm not sure when was the last time I did an update on a novel haha, but here's one I just read.

HEROES OF OLYMPUS : THE SON OF NEPTUNE

The novel starts of with our favourite hero*Percy being chased by the Gorgon Sisters as they
hate him because he killed their sister Medusa*Back in the original series*. They also revealed
that they are working for Gaia to kill Percy. While running, Percy met an old woman named
June which is revealed to be Juno*Zeus's wife in Roman from* who let him choose either risking
his life to obtain his memories back or sit safely in the ocean while watching the destruction of
the whole world.

As always usual haha, he chosed the former. He stumbled upon Camp Jupiter*Roman version
of Camp Half-Blood* where he met Hazel and Frank who is guarding its entrance. Somehow
they allowed him in*While still being chased by gorgons* and Percy helped them to cross the
Little Tiber*Losing his invincibility but gaining Frank and Hazel's trust in the process.

Percy swiftly became known in the new camp as for his incredible battle skills and instincts.
Then, he*and his new friends Frank and Hazel* was elected for a mission to free Thanatos who
is chained by a new enemy. While travelling for their quest, Percy struggled to regain his memories
He recalled fragments but was never able to determine his memories specifically. Their mission
came to an end after they defeated Alcyoneus, the Giant born to oppose Pluto a.k.a Hades.

Percy regained his memories while they raced back to Camp Jupiter finding it under attack of
Polybotes, the Giant born to oppose Neptune/Poseidon*haha yes, Percy's father*. With the help
of Terminus, Percy successfully killed Polybotes*Giants can only be killed by Deity and demi-god
working together*.

At the end, Camp Jupiter named him Praetor, a leader for the roman camp. Percy also realised
what had really happened, Percy was switched places with Jason*former Praetor* by Hera/Juno
for them to learned of each others whereabout*Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter* as they never
knew or met each other before. This is to form a stronger base as to fight Gaia, who is finally awakening after a long slumber.

3 Interesting Words

2. Morale -

3. Mortal -

Response
The Son of Neptune is the 2nd book of the Heroes Of Olympus series. This time, the writer tells
about the whereabout of Percy*The first one focused on Jason at Camp Half-Blood*. The story
build up is interesting as readers wonder whether Percy would regain his memories or not. This
book also reveals more on the main story for this series as it was told that the main enemy is Gaia,
Mother Earth herself*mind you she is basically the Grandmother of Percy and his friends haha XD*
Rick Riordan also put on a twist as to successfully kill a Giant, a Deity and a demi-god must work
together*Which is almost impossible considering the ego's of most deities LOL*. Anyways
likewise, I would reccommend this to those who would want to improve their English as its writing
is quite simple and easy to understand.

P.S : Am really hoping for a duel between Percy and Jason hahahahahaha xD.

Novel Of The Week*Time Riders : City of Shadows

Hi guys! This week's review is on the sixth installment of the Time Riders series.

TIME RIDERS : CITY OF SHADOWS

The book starts with the TimeRiders team on the run from assasin cyborgs from
the future*believed to be sent by the creators of the TimeRiders* to remove and
completely destroy all time displacement technology*time travel* that they have.
This is because the current team, Liam, Sal and Maddy demanded several answers
from the creators such as 'Who is the creator?'*Yes, they never made contact with
the creator... Awkward isn't it?? haha.

The sixth book unfolds a lot more about the team, as the plot revealed that not only
Bob but the whole team is infact BioEngineered Humans. They were 'created' with
fake memories to make themselves believe they are actually human with a real past.
It shook the whole team and they ran from their headquarters in Brooklyn in search
for answers. It is revealed that the TimeRiders was created by Roald Waldstein, the
first ever time-traveller. Waldstein created the TimeRiders to preserve history until
'Pandora'*The end of all humans in 2070* happens.

'Pandora' is where human kind became extinct*due to their own doing* where a very
dangerous bio-weapon created by North Korea accidentally lost control and wipe out
all of the humankind. Waldstein was trying to preserve this due to unknown reasons
and when the team finds out, they decided to do 'battle' against Waldstein and ran away.
The team moved into the past and made a new base in London 1888, where they
unconciously is the time when Jack The Ripper is rampaging.

A cyborg that managed to follow them back into the past made a time contamination
by saving Mary Kelly crushing Jack The Ripper's cranium, ultimately killing him thus
revealing the identity of Jack who actually is an aristocrat and part of the  government.
This created a big uproar and a very big time contamination happens as riots opposing
the government happens.

Response
I really liked this novel especially the part where they insert famous people such as
Mary Kelly and H.G Wells*The first writer ever to write about time travel. It gives me
the historical vibes haha xD. The writer also describe everything in the detail throughout
the whole novel. He encourages readers to use their imaginations to imagine all the events
and occurence in the novel. The plot twist is also very interesting as it is revealed that all of
them are actually BioEngineered Humans, since readers initially thought they were recruited
from life endangering events* which went out to be fake memories installed by Waldstein.
Anyways, I would reccomend this book to everyone*especially sci-fi fans. The writer really
got me there with the plot twist haha :D

Novel Of The Week*HOO : The Lost Hero

This week's review is on the first book of Heroes Of Olympus series, The Lost Hero
written by Rick Riordan.

HEROES OF OLYMPUS : THE LOST HERO

The book starts with Jason, a 'demigod'  son of Zeus with no memories of who or
what he actually is. All he remembers are his two 'Best Friends' Piper and Leo and
that they were on a school trip. Things became complicated as they were attacked by
venti*roman wind spirits. Evenitually, Jason saved the day by driving the venties away
while also discovering his powers which is flying and summoning lightning*Pretty
awesome right?*. Being the 'son' of Zeus also bestowed him with the power to control
the wind.

The plot developed deeper and more serious as it is revealed that Gaia*Ultra Powerful
Evil mother of Zeus* is awakening from her deep slumber and is seeking revenge on
Zeus and his siblings. Gaia is angry at Zeus and his generation of deities because they
overthrew Gaia's favourite son Kronos, who is also Zeus's Evil Father. In this story,
Jason also realised that his best friends, Piper and Leo, are also 'demigods' daughter of
Aphrodite and Son of Hephaestus respectively.

Set in the same world of the Percy Jackson series*same author*, Jason and his friends
faced challenges like never before in their quest to reach Camp Half-Blood, supposedly a
safe place for 'demigods'*Half-human Half-deity. The book ends with Jason gaining
all of his memories back, they learned of a roman version of Camp Half-Blood,
Camp Jupiter*Jason is the leader of Camp Jupiter and they acknowledge the missing
leader of Camp Half-Blood, Percy Jackson.

Response
To those who like Fantasy-Fiction genres, you surely wouldn't want to miss this one.
Since it is set in the same world of the Percy Jackson series*actually a continuation*
it's filled with characters that I'm familiar with and the new characters are also quite
interesting. This novel would probably have the first 'demigod' character that could
really match up with the strengths of Percy Jackson because in the previous series,
Percy Jackson, the most powerful 'demigod' is the main guy, Percy, being the only
child of the Big Three*Zeus, Poseidon and Hades* and all. While in this series, a new
character child of Zeus is introduced! I'm expecting a great rivalry between this two
throughout the whole series :D.
